Industrial Parks in Jilin

Caption: Changchun Economic and Technological Development Zone (CCETDZ was established in July 1992 and approved as a state-level development zone in April 1993 by the State Council. With a total area of 51 km2, CCETDZ is situated in the southeastern part of downtown Changchun. It is 5 km from the city center of Changchun, 7.8 km from the railway station and 14.8 km from Changchun Airport.
Changchun, the city hosting CCETDZ, is the capital of Jilin, and also the most important city in Jilin in terms of commerce, industry and education. The automobile and auto parts industries are the key industries in Changchun. Other key industries include agricultural products processing, photo-electronic technologies and pharmaceuticals.
There are also several premium universities and research institutes providing technical support to the development of these industries. These include Jilin University, Northeast Normal University, Changchun Optical Fine Mechanics and Physics Institute (an institute of CAS), Changchun Applied Chemistry Institute (an institute of CAS), Changchun Institute of Geography and Changchun Satellite Observation Station.
