
Hee-Beom Lee, ex-minister for Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy(MOCIE) of Korea, has served as Chairman and CEO of Korea International Trade Association (KITA) since February, 2006.
Established in 1946, KITA has grown into the largest trade promotion agency in Korea representing 65,000 member companies. It continues to be the driving force behind Korea’s international trade by fostering trade experts, building cyber trade infrastructure, hosting international special exhibitions and international conferences and implementing new trade strategies.
Since 2006 Mr. Lee has been appointed as Chairman of the Korea Commercial Arbitration Board and Commissioners of National Economic Advisory Council, President’s Committee on FTAs, KAIST President’s Advisory Council. Prior to his present position at KITA, he was President of Seoul National University of Technology and Chairman and CEO of Korea Productivity Center.
He received B.A. in Electronics Engineering from Seoul National University, summa cum laude in MBA from George Washington University and Ph.D in Business Management from Kyunghee University. Also he was awarded honorary degree of Ph.D in Public Administration from Hoseo University.
李熙范是韩国产业能源部前部长,2006年2月起在韩国国际贸易协会担任主席和首席执行官。
创立于1946年的韩国国际贸易协会,目前已经成为韩国最大的贸易推广机构,是一家拥有65000名员工的企业。韩国国际贸易协会通过培养一批贸易专家来促进本国的国际贸易,并一如既往地成为韩国经贸发展的原动力,建设网络贸易基础设施,举办国际专题展览和国际会议,实施新的贸易战略。
2006年,李先生被任命为韩国商业仲裁委员会主席,韩国国际经济咨询理事会委员,韩国FTAs主席委员会委员,KAIST主席咨询委员会委员。他在韩国国际贸易协会任职之前,曾担任汉城国立大学技术院校长,韩国生产力中心的行政总裁。
李先生拥有汉城国立大学电子工程学士学位,并以优异的成绩获得了乔治华盛顿大学的工商管理硕士学位,并取得庆熙大学工商管理博士学位。此外,他还被授予Hoseo大学公共行政学名誉博士。
